Closure of Skate Park at Hickings Lane Recreation Ground, Stapleford
7/07/22 - In Broxtowe, we have a parks standard to make sure that all of our parks and open spaces meet a high standard in terms of health and safety and facilities.
As part of this, we regularly carry out inspections at our sites to make sure they continue to meet these standards.
Unfortunately, following a recent inspection we have had to take the decision to close the skate park at Hickings Lane Recreation Ground, Stapleford which is no longer meeting these standards. The current skate park will be removed shortly.
We understand that this will be very disappointing to local people in the area but we need to put the health and safety of our site users first. We are actively working on proposals for how we can bring a new and improved skate park to the site and will keep you updated on this.
