Have Your Say On Polling Station Review

29/07/22 - A review of specific polling districts and polling places in Broxtowe will be launched next week.

Broxtowe Borough Council will start the review on 1st August until 30th September 2022 to help ensure that all electors have good facilities for voting.

Following the outcome of a Community Governance Review, an interim polling district review is required in the following areas only:

  • Awsworth, Cossall and Trowell
  • Bramcote
  • Greasley
  • Kimberley
  • Nuthall, East and Strelley
  • Stapleford North
  • Stapleford South East

The opportunity is also being taken to review polling places where changes will be required, or are recommended, in advance of the elections in May 2023.

Anyone who is eligible to vote in the Broxtowe Constituency can submit their views on the size and boundaries of polling districts and the location and suitability of polling places.  

Comments or representations are also welcomed from past or potential candidates, local political parties and any person or body with expertise in access for disabled people.

The review documents which include electorate figures, maps of polling districts and possible changes to polling district boundaries and details of polling stations, can be inspected Monday to Friday at the Council Offices, Foster Avenue, Beeston or on the Council’s website at www.broxtowe.gov.uk/pollingreview

Representations must be received by 30th September 2022.  All representations will be published on the Council’s website.  A report on recommendations arising from the review will be considered by Full Council on 14th December 2022.
