Kimberley Market Statement

Kimberley Market Statement

19/07/22 - Unfortunately, we have taken the difficult decision to temporarily pause the Kimberley Market at the end of July for the next few months.

After a very successful launch in February, bringing stalls that local people wanted to see as part of the market, such as a fruit and veg stall, footfall has fallen drastically.

We are not ruling out bringing the market back at a future date but the current weekly format is not working in a way which is viable for many of the traders to continue.

We will be working to review the arrangements for the market to see how we could reintroduce it or explore other options. This will complement other initiatives we are hoping to bring to Kimberley as part of the Levelling Up Bid which will be submitted to Government imminently for up to £20m to invest in the town.

The last market will take place on Tuesday 26th July.

Thank you to all the traders and customers who have supported the market over the last few months, as well as Kimberley Town Council for their help and assistance.
