The Toton and Chilwell Neighbourhood Plan
Neighbourhood Plans can give communities a strong voice in the planning system as if successful they will complement the Borough’s Local Plan, and must be taken into consideration by Broxtowe Borough Council when determining planning applications.
Chetwynd: The Toton and Chilwell Neighbourhood Plan sets out local policies in relation to housing, design, green and blue infrastructure, community facilities, shops, employment, and traffic and transport. It also sets out aspirations for the local area.
Broxtowe Borough Council is now inviting local residents, businesses and other organisations, to comment on the Chetwynd: The Toton and Chilwell Neighbourhood Plan. The period for commenting on the Neighbourhood Plan runs until Friday 5th August 2022.
The Chetwynd: The Toton and Chilwell Neighbourhood Plan can be viewed on the Council's website at www.broxtowe.gov.uk/chetwyndneighbourhoodplan. Comments can be submitted by email or post.
The Borough Council will then collate all the comments received and pass them on to an independent examiner. The examiner will look at these comments and the Neighbourhood Plan when assessing whether it meets national requirements and can proceed to the next stage of the process, which is a referendum.
