30 trees were donated by the business, one for each year of practice. The funding was raised with the generosity of the local community and local businesses.30 Trees For 30 Years Being Planted

Field Maple, Alder, Silver Birch, and Ginkgo Biloba were just some of the species chosen for the event. 1,000 dwarf Daffodils were also planted on the day to brighten up the area.

The Mayor of the Borough of Broxtowe, Councillor Teresa Cullen attended the event alongside Portfolio Holder for Environment and Climate Change, Councillor Helen Skinner and the employees, friends and supporters of the Chiropractic Clinic who enjoyed the day.

Portfolio Holder for Environment and Climate Change, Councillor Helen Skinner said ‘It is lovely to see an established local business contribute to the care of our environment and take a hands on approach to the experience. What a wonderful way to mark this momentous occasion with a long lasting impact on our area which was achieved with support from our community. I was pleased to be able to take part in this event.’

Managing Director and Principal Chiropractor at Beeston Chiropractic Clinic, Alexandra Newton said ‘With the help of patients, friends and local businesses we managed to raise over £4,000 to buy native trees. With the support of Broxtowe Borough Council's Parks and Open Spaces Team we have now successfully planted them at the Hetley Pearson Recreation Ground. This signifies a small contribution to supporting our environment and wildlife, to be enjoyed by future generations. We'd like to thank everyone involved in helping make our vision happen.’

The event was also an incredibly positive way to replace trees that were previously vandalised at Hetley Pearson Recreation Ground last year.
