Love Stapleford? Join our Board
For the next stage the town’s journey we’re looking for people to join our Towns Fund Board to help make sure the schemes make the most of the funding and reflect what is best for Stapleford.
We’ve already supported over 70 businesses in the town, giving them a share of £1m to recover through our Town Centre Recovery Fund. A new cycle proficiency track opened in April for local children, young people, adults and families to learn and practice cycling safely, in addition to the hugely successful Cycle Hub, which is providing local people with access to advice about cycling, bike servicing and free bike repairs.
A new revitalised library opened last month after a significant cash injection from the Board. A new community pavilion and young people’s centre is being developed as well as an Enterprise Hub, street improvement and safer cycling schemes.
The Stapleford Towns Fund Board is made up of local people, Councillors, Broxtowe’s MP and officials from Broxtowe and the Stapleford Town Council. As a Board member you can help shape how these schemes can help the town for generations to come.
If you would like to have an informal conversation about being on the Board please email sam.comerie@broxtowe.gov.uk
