Cossall Neighbourhood Plan
Neighbourhood Plans can give communities a strong voice in the planning system as if successful they will complement the Borough’s Local Plan, and must be taken into consideration by Broxtowe Borough Council when determining planning applications.
The Cossall Neighbourhood Plan includes policies on sustainable development, landscape character, blue and green infrastructure, biodiversity, Local Green Space designations, heritage assets, design, housing types, local employment, community facilities, traffic management and car parking. It also sets out aspirations for the local area.
Broxtowe Borough Council is now inviting local residents, businesses and other organisations, to comment on the Cossall Neighbourhood Plan. The period for commenting on the Neighbourhood Plan runs until Friday 14 July 2023.
The Cossall Neighbourhood Plan can be viewed at www.broxtowe.gov.uk/cossallneighbourhoodplan.
Comments can be submitted by email or post.
The Borough Council will then collate all the comments received and pass them on to an independent examiner. The examiner will consider these comments and the Neighbourhood Plan when assessing whether it meets national requirements and can proceed to the next stage of the process, which is a referendum.
