Step into Christmas with the return of Broxtowe’s Christmas Lights Switch Ons!
Residents can enjoy Christmas stalls, street entertainment, food, fair rides, face painting, live music and more. Santa will also be back to meet children who can share their Christmas wishes at his Grottos.
Events will be taking place across the Borough as follows:
Stapleford – Saturday 25 November, 12.00 pm - 6.30pm at Victoria Street Car Park, NG9 7AR
Highlights include illuminated ice prince and princess stilt walkers, nativity trail organised by Stapleford Churches Together, carol singing led by the Salvation Army Band and live music from 4-piece band, Adam & Co with hit songs from the 90's to today and a human nativity trail organised by Stapleford Churches Together.
Santa’s Grotto can be found at The Stapleford and Bramcote Conservative Club. Accessible sensory sessions for the Grotto are available for advanced bookings prior to the bustling public walk-in session. The lights switch on will take place at 5.30pm.

Eastwood – Tuesday 28 November, 5.30pm – 8.00pm at Eastwood Square, NG16 3GB
Highlights include illuminated disco robot drummers, Ben Mark Smith unveiling his new Christmas song, as well as other live music, Victorian Carol Singers and a nativity trail led by the Eastwood Churches Together.
Santa’s Grotto can be found at The D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum. Accessible sensory sessions for the Grotto are fully booked.
The lights switch on will take place at 7.00pm.
The event has been organised in association with Eastwood Town Council.
Beeston – Saturday 2 December, 12.00pm – 6.30pm at Beeston Square, NG9 2JG
Highlights include The Naughty Christmas Trees walking around the Square to entertain the kids, Carol singing by Redeemer Church and performances from Red Dance Group, singer songwriter Alesha B accompanied by legendry guitarist Ralph Sandland, and 5-piece cover band Money Talks.
Santa’s Grotto can be found at Beeston Library. Accessible sensory sessions for the Grotto are sessions are available for advanced bookings prior to the bustling public walk-in session. Residents can book a place for the accessible sensory sessions in Beeston online (Opens in a new window).
The lights switch on will take place at 5.30pm.
Each event will be topped off by a firework finale which you won’t want to miss at the below times:
- Stapleford: 6.30pm
- Eastwood: 8.00pm
- Beeston: 6.30 pm
We understand that not everyone enjoys fireworks so we have taken care to keep them to a very short period of time and will be notifying residents in the surrounding areas in advance so they can prepare.
Some road closures and limited accessible parking spaces will be available so residents are advised to plan ahead.
