You will be organised, accurate and able to work under pressure to pre-determined deadlines. You will be confident and tactful in dealing with the public, elected members and senior officers. You will also have excellent communication skills.

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Experience of working in a political environment and the ability to demonstrate political sensitivity
  • Knowledge of the Council’s Complaints function
  • Experience of giving advice at a senior level, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience of working independently and using your own initiative to solve problems
  • Experience of coping with a high workload with minimal supervision and to tight deadlines
  • The ability to represent our GREAT values and behaviours.

As the majority of meetings are held during the evening you should be prepared to work out of normal office hours.  The Council operates a flexible working policy to accommodate this, in addition to supporting agile working.
