Every year the Council is required to publish its accounts so they can be independently verified and transparent to residents.
The financial statements consist of:

- the Movement in Reserves Statement
- the Comprehensive Income and Expenditure Statement
- the Balance Sheet
- the Cash Flow Statement
- the Housing Revenue Account
- the Collection Fund
- Group accounts
