LaptopOnline payments

Please be aware of changes to the payment card industry which mean old web browsers and operating systems may no longer work with our payment system. Find out if you're payment ready.

We've made it easier than ever before to pay your Council bills online, no matter what time of day or where you are. We can now accept payments online for services such as the following:

For a full list of payments you can make online visit our Pay It page.

Please note that we only accept 3D secured cards for online payments. If your card is not 3D secure please contact your bank or card issuer.

Direct Debit IconPaying by Direct Debit

Direct Debit allows your regular bills to be paid from your bank or building society account when they become due. This is the easiest way to make payment because your bank or building society does all the work and yet you remain in control.

You can now set up a Direct Debit for the following services, by phoning our Customer Services team or by downloading the Direct Debit Mandate Form (.pdf) (167KB) (Opens in a New Window) and returning it to the Council:

  • Business Rates
  • Council Tax

For Business Rates you benefit from a later payment date and for Council Tax you can pick one of 4 dates each month that is more convenient to you.

Direct Debit gives you total control over your payments. You will be given at least 10 working days' notice of amounts to be collected and any changes to those amounts. A full and immediate refund is given by your bank or building society in the unlikely event of a mistake being made.

Direct Debit - make the switch now!
