Core Strategy Proposed Main Modifications - March 2014

Following the Core Strategy Examination Hearing sessions Broxtowe (together with Gedling Borough and Nottingham City) proposed some Main Modifications to the Core Strategy in order for the plan to be found ‘sound’ by the Planning Inspector.

Following a resolution to submit the Main Modifications to the Planning Inspector by Full Council in January 2014 (.pdf) (2.44MB) (Opens in a New Window) (Opens in a New Window), the Council undertook a consultation on the proposed changes.

A ‘tracked change’ version of the proposed changes to the Core Strategy (.pdf) (2.24MB) (Opens in a New Window) (Opens in a New Window) and strategic site schedule and plans (Appendix A & B) (.pdf) (4.96MB) (Opens in a New Window) (Opens in a New Window) was consulted upon. Documents required by Regulation:

Combined Sustainability Appraisal, Equality Impact Assessment and Habitats Regulations Assessment (.pdf) (803KB) (Opens in a New Window) (Opens in a New Window) to determine whether there are likely to be any significant effects on sustainability, potential discrimination or European sites arising from the proposed Main Modifications to the Aligned Core Strategies Publication Version.
A Statement of Representation Procedure and Location of Documents for Inspection (.pdf) (27.3KB) (Opens in a New Window) (Opens in a New Window) setting out how to respond to the consultation and where the consultation documents could be viewed.

The consultation responses were sent to the Planning Inspector to consider before making recommendations in her final report.

The consultation ran from 17th March 2014 until 30^th April 2014.
