Prior Approval Householder Extensions

Submit an application for Prior Approval Householder Extensions for a single storey, rear extension.

Under the Town & Country Planning Order 1995 (General Permitted Development, as amended), new legislation (statutory instrument 2013 No. 1101) came into force in 2013 for single storey rear extensions between:

  • 3 metres and 6 metres for terraced or semi-detached houses
  • 4 metres and 8 metres for detached houses

The legislation means that Planning Permission may not always be required for extensions meeting these requirements. From 19 August 2019 a fee of £96 applies.
