Prior Approval Householder Extensions
Submit an application for Prior Approval Householder Extensions for a single storey, rear extension.
Under the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 you can apply for prior approval for single storey rear extensions between:
- 3 metres and 6 metres for terraced or semi-detached houses
- 4 metres and 8 metres for detached houses
The legislation means that Planning Permission may not always be required for extensions meeting these requirements. From 19 August 2019 a fee of £96 applies.
To find out if your extension meets the requirements of prior approval or whether you need planning permission, download the PDF form (.pdf) (215KB) (Opens in a New Window) (Opens in a New Window).
