Let's Talk Broxtowe
In summer 2023, the Council ran the Let’s Talk Broxtowe consultation to help shape the new Corporate Plan for 2024-28. The Corporate Plan is the Council’s overarching strategy which outlines its key priorities, objectives and targets. The consultation was run through an online survey and a series of public roadshow events across the Borough.
How many people took part?
820 responses were received.
Highlights
- 71% of respondents were satisfied or very satisfied with Broxtowe as a place to live.
- 54% of respondents were satisfied or very satisfied with the service they receive from the Council.
- 25% of respondents were satisfied or very satisfied with how the Council listens to them.
- The results showed strong support for all of the five proposed priorities which consist of Environment, Community Safety, Health, Business Growth and Housing. All priorities received more than 75% positive responses.
From the proposed objectives, the three which received the most support were:
- Reduce antisocial behaviour. (96%)
- Support people to live well with dementia and support those who are lonely or have mental health problems. (94%)
- Work with partners to reduce domestic violence and support survivors. (94%)

Next steps
The Council is now working on taking your feedback on board and producing the new Corporate Plan document, which will be considered by Cabinet in June 2024 and Council in July 2024.
The final version will be shared when it is available, along with a list of ‘You said, we’ll do’ actions from the feedback you shared.
