Business Start-up Grants

NBV – Grant for Enterprise

Grant for Enterprise supports the growth or development of existing micro, small and medium-sized businesses based in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and Greater Lincolnshire. Grants available from £1,000 to £2,500, for further information please visit the NBV Website. (Opens in a New Window).

NBV – Grant for New Business

The NBV Grant for New Business, supports start-up businesses based in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and Greater Lincolnshire. Business Start-up Loans

Start-up Loans

Investment for Growth - Grants 

D2N2 Business Investment Fund

The Growth Hub have an exciting new asset to add to the portfolio of support available to D2N2 businesses in the form of an investment fund.  The D2N2 Business Investment Fund is available to support small and medium sized enterprises with projects that will directly improve their productivity, efficiency or job creation.  For more information please contact the D2N2 Growth Hub via email or ring them on 0333 006 9178. 

Energy for Business

This is a capital grant for businesses wishing to improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions or who are implementing sustainable energy technologies. For more information please visit the Energy for Business website. (Opens in a New Window).

EMB’s Capital Growth Fund Grant

This is available to trading businesses to fund capital purchases. Grants on offer range from £1,500 - £10,000 at 30% of eligible costs. Any business across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire are eligible to apply.  For more information please visit the East Midlands Business website. 


Investment for Growth - Loans 

First Enterprise – Business Growth

Invest to Grow

Invest to Grow is a programme designed to support private sector businesses, predominantly in the form of loan funding, to grow and create jobs. Midlands Engine Investment Fund

The Midlands Engine Investment Fund provides loan funding for smaller businesses, who would otherwise struggle to access finance, to help them achieve their full potential. It offers a range of support from start-up loans to businesses with ambitious growth plans. The Foresight Nottingham Fund

Foresight Group, an independent infrastructure and private equity investment manager, has launched the Foresight Nottingham Fund and are looking to invest in high growth businesses with a focus on Nottinghamshire and Nottingham. The Fund is actively looking to invest up to £2m in high-growth businesses already operating in the region as well as those looking to invest in the region.
