A mutual exchange allows tenants to swap their homes with other tenants.

Properties are exchanges as they are seen, certain fixtures and fittings that are in the properties at the time of exchange will be your responsibility.  You will be asked to sign a disclaimer as part of the exchange and will therefore be made aware of what is your responsibility and what is the Council's responsibility.

Eligibility for Exchange

If you live in a Broxtowe Borough Council property, you have to hold a secure tenancy to be eligible for a mutual exchange.

You will need to someone to swap with.  The Council is signed up to Homeswapper, (Opens in a New Window) which is free to use and helps tenants to find a swap.
