Bennerley Viaduct stands 20 metres above the beautiful Erewash Valley. But would an egg survive the drop? Only one way to find out! This event is part of the Nottingham Festival of Science and Curosity.

Bennerley Viaduct stands 20 meters above the beautiful Erewash Valley. But would an egg survive the drop? Only one way to find out! Flex your scientific skills and create the best parachute to save your egg! With help from real engineers from the STEM Ambassadors Team. Drop-in activity, arrive any time, but booking is advised. Most suitable for ages 5-12. Drop-in activity, arrive any time, but booking is advised. Tickets should be booked only for children taking part. Adults and non-participating children do not need a ticket, but are welcome to come along as we respect that families come in many sizes! Activity is repeated on Saturday 17th but for all ages. Free but donations of £3 to cover materials are appreciated. The activity should take around 30 minutes but you can extend your visit with a walk across the deck or through the new nature reserve. Free maps are available online and at activity.
