How to take part

The Council's first Green Infrastructure Strategy 2015 - 2030 was developed to create a clear strategic framework for the management, enhancement and sustainable development of the Borough's green space.

A review of the Strategy in 2024, highlighted significant changes in legislative direction that had the potential to influence the scope and delivery of the green infrastructure initiatives, for example, the introduction of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) requirements. Following this, it was agreed to refresh and update the Strategy to ensure that it remains relevant and effective in addressing environmental priorities.

The first draft of the revised Strategy is now complete, and the Council is seeking the input of stakeholders to help shape the final version. This consultation provides and opportunity for you to share your views, ensuring that the Strategy aligns with local needs and aspirations.
