Salary: up to £24,028 - Grade 2 Part Time - 15 hours per week

Broxtowe Borough Council is looking to recruit an experienced cleaner for our independent living scheme at Southfields Court

Broxtowe Borough Council currently has 13 schemes within the borough that have a cleaner assigned. The Main purpose of the job is To provide an effective cleaning service to the Independent Living  Scheme and ensure the specified standard of cleanliness is maintained. 

Your role will include to work alongside work schedules and specifications, clean all areas and items to the frequency and standards required. To ensure that cleaning is carried out using the appropriate equipment and materials. You will also need to make sure all duties are carried out in accordance with instructions to comply with councils Health and Safety Policy. Lastly you will need to liaise with the cleaning team leader in relation to workload and standards. 

The Council has a positive approach to training and development and will seek to facilitate appropriate job related training. Please ensure you demonstrate in your application how you achieve the essential and desirable criteria set out in the person specification. Consideration may be given to applicants who do not achieve all essential criteria, but are able to demonstrate a good level of relevant work experience.

The role will require you to be able to drive and a designated car user status has been applied to this post. Please see the Personal Specification for further information.

  • Cleaning
  • Working with customers
  • Working with vulnerable people
  • Managing their own time and workload
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities

This is a permanent role and may involve travel around the Borough of Broxtowe.
