We ask for your feedback to help us shape the future of Broxtowe and the services that you use. Your views help us to:

  • Improve the quality of decisions by allowing the Council to gather further information with the help of our communities.
  • Understand your concerns and issues.
  • Monitor existing decisions and whether changes are needed.

Notice is hereby given under Section 70 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 that Broxtowe Borough Council proposes to increase the fees and charges for Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licences, Private Hire Vehicle Licences and Private Hire Operator Licences for 2024/25, as detailed below:-

Any person wishing to make representations or objections to the above proposals must do so in writing within 28 days from 5th April 2024.

Representations should be made in writing to the Licensing Manager, Public Protection Division, Chief Executives Directorate, Council Offices, Foster Avenue, Beeston, Nottingham NG9 1AB to be received within twenty-eight days from the date of the publication of the notice.

A copy of the notice may be inspected at the Council Offices, Foster Avenue, Beeston, without payment during normal office hours for twenty-eight days from the date of the first publication of this notice.

If no objections to the variation are made within twenty-eight days from the date of the publication of the notice, the fees shall come into operation on 3rd May 2024.

Emergency Help Point Camera System Consultation

The Council consulted residents on two emergency help points which would allow direct communication with the Council’s surveillance camera control room.

Surveillance Cameras Upgrade consultation

The Council conducted a consultation exercise for the upgrade of surveillance cameras to support continued use of existing Council owned surveillance camera systems in and around the Borough of Broxtowe.

Budget Consultation 2024/25

Broxtowe Borough Council conducted its annual budget survey, asking local residents, businesses and community and voluntary organisations to share their thoughts on Council services and how they think the budget should be spent. Thank you to the 1393 residents who took the time to have their say.

Have your say on polling place review

Broxtowe Borough Council reviewed polling places  from 2 October until 31 October 2023 to help ensure that all electors have good facilities for voting. Anyone who is eligible to vote in the Broxtowe Borough Council area was able to submit their views on the size and boundaries of parliamentary polling districts and the location and suitability of parliamentary polling places. 

Parks and Open Spaces Survey 2023

As part of the Pride in Parks initiative, Broxtowe Borough Council asked for feedback on selected sites through the annual Parks and Open Spaces Survey.

Bramcote Hills Park Survey

Residents in Broxtowe were asked to share their thoughts on improvements at Bramcote Hills Park.

Smoke Control Order

The Council recently consulted on proposed changes to the smoke control order. 

Climate Change and Green Futures Consultation

A consultation on climate change was recently carried out to gather input from residents and stakeholders to ensure our Climate Change and Green Futures strategy is comprehensive and inclusive. We appreciate that 296 residents had their say.
