The GOV.UK website offers you the opportunity to check the benefits you might be able to claim. Alternatively, you can just see which benefits you may be able to get, without estimated amounts.

Use the GOV.UK benefits advisor to...

  • Get an estimate of the benefits, tax credits or pension that may be available to you

  • Compare estimates if your situation changes

  • Save your answers for up to seven days

  • Download/print results for reference

Remember the calculation will be an estimate based on the information you supply. For a full evaluation make a formal claim as soon as possible. Usually Benefit will only start from the Monday after the Council receive your form.

  • A prisoner

  • A non-UK national

  • A student

  • Under 18 years old

  • Permanently in residential care of a nursing home
