Summer Play Days 2025 – Chilwell

Get ready for a fantastic summer day at Chilwell Play Day for a day of free fun (with some activities having a small charge).

The event also celebrates the National Play Day with the theme of ‘Spaces for Play’ highlighting the vital importance of accessible, inclusive spaces where children and young people have opportunities to play freely, spending time, and connecting with friends – and feel valued as part of their community. 

Children of all ages can enjoy an array of activities including puppet shows, giant bubble shows, drumming, circus skills, cool science, and creative arts workshops, climbing wall, KMX Go karting fun, donkey petting, inflatables, fairground rides and much more. Even the littlest ones have their own playtime. There is something for everyone. Treat yourself to tasty delights from various stalls with food, sweets, and ice cream to satisfy your taste buds. Don’t miss out the karate demonstration by GRK Karate after the Opening Ceremony at 1pm!

Limited free public parking is available on site. Residents are also encouraged to walk, cycle, or use public transport to our events.

This event is run by Broxtowe Borough Council. Play Days 2025 will also be taking place in Nuthall (30 Jul 2025), Eastwood (7 Aug 2025) and Stapleford (11 Aug 2025). Don’t miss out! Come along and join the fun!
