Eastwood Christmas Lights Switch On

This annual spectacular Christmas event will return to Eastwood at Eastwood Square, along Victoria Street and Nottingham Road this year. Come along and start the festive season with a bang!
The Christmas market will be running from 5:30pm at the Victoria Street and Eastwood Square with an array of tasty treats and festive items to purchase. Check out festive face painting and the community stalls on site.
Santa will also be visiting Eastwood in his magical grotto, from 5:45pm- 7:30pm at The D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum Courtyard. Children will get to meet Santa to share their Christmas wishes. An accessible sensory session for the Grotto is also available for booking this year from 4:30pm – 5:30pm. Please click https://rb.gy/5uxjv for booking online. The main event will start at 6pm at Eastwood Square and along Nottingham Road, featuring Victorian Carol Singers, festive street-theatre acts, such as the sparkly disco robot drummers, fairground rides, a nativity trail and carol singing led by the Eastwood Churches Together. Talented musician Ben Mark Smith will share his new Christmas song with us and a series of hit songs from the past to present will be performed by the headline act on the main stage.
The Christmas light switch on ceremony with the Deputy Mayor of Broxtowe and the Town Mayor will take place around the Christmas tree at 7pm on Eastwood Square. Don’t miss the spectacular firework display at 8pm; the best place to view the display is on the Nottingham Road outside the Eastwood Library.
