Ramadan Celebration

Ramadan is the name of the 9th month of the Islamic Calendar and can be 29 or 30 days depending on the lunar cycle.

Muslims all across the world will observe 1 of the 5 pillars of Islam known as Saum (Fasting) which is 1 of the 5 pillars of Islam. Those who are exempt due to health reasons and therefore cannot make up the fasts thereafter are required to pay a daily fidya (a religious donation of money or food to help those in need).
