Garden waste subscription 2024/25
The current garden waste subscription period covers from the 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.
How much does it cost?
The cost of subscribing to this service is:
- 1 new bin - £43
- Any additional bins are £25 each
We understand that the cost increase is more than usual this year and that this is not ideal. However, the costs associated with garden waste collections has also risen, so in order to maintain the service the subscription price has had to increase. At just £1.87 per collection, subscribing to the garden waste service still represents good value for money and makes it easier for you to recycle your garden waste.

What does the subscription include?
- Collections are all year round – every two weeks from April to the end of November and in March, then every four weeks in December, January and February when there is less garden waste to dispose of.
- A hassle-free solution in comparison to taking your garden waste to the Local Household Waste and Recycling Site
- A sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to garden waste disposal.

Reminder: Please ensure that your current garden waste subscription sticker is displayed on the back of your garden bin. Failure to show a current sticker will result in your garden bin not being emptied.
If you have not received or have mislaid your sticker then please contact environment@broxtowe.gov.uk and a replacement will be sent out to you.
Residents are not permitted to photocopy stickers.

Sharing your bin with neighbours
We accept no responsibility for personal agreements made between neighbours.
We will need the address of one of the properties to log on our system when payment is made. That same address will be on the sticker to be attached to the bin and the bin must be placed outside the property which has subscribed to the service.
