Description

The Chetwynd, Toton and Chilwell Community Interest Company, a subsidiary of the Neighbourhood Forum, has been awarded funds by Midlands Net Zero Hub to produce a Feasibility Study on the concept of establishing a community energy scheme. A Community Energy Scheme is owned and managed by the community and it’s something several residents have become aware of over the last few years. And we have a unique opportunity to create a social model that could benefit all residents. This consultation event will have experts on hand to explain how community energy measures such as solar panels and heat pumps are helpful in reducing energy bills, improving our homes and doing our bit for the planet. We all feel the rising costs of energy and the growing concern for our environment. Solar panels is one solution that could benefit both your household and our wider community. We need to know whether residents are interested in investing in solar and exploring funding opportunities available to help with the costs. We want to make solar energy more accessible, affordable, and beneficial for everyone in our area. Your input matters.
