Police Officers and staff are at the highest risk of suicide, than any profession, and each year very sadly many are lost to suicide.
In honour of my late cousin who was a Detective Constable for Thames Valley Police who sadly took his own life last year, we are hoping to raise as much awareness and money as we can for the Charity - Police Care UK, by hosting a Charity Football Match.
Police Care UK, are a charity for serving and veteran Police officers and staff, volunteers and their families who have suffered any physical or psychological harm as a result of policing. The charity football match will take place on Sunday the 26th of September 2021, with the match starting at 2pm, doors open at 12 noon. This will take place at Ilkeston Town Football club, Awsworth Road, Ilkeston, DE7 8JF.
We will have one side made up serving Police Officers and one side of `civilians`. Who will be the better team?! The day itself will be catered for all the family, there will be food available, a bar, a bouncy castle for the children and a raffle, with great prices up for grabs! Tickets for the event will be £3, children are of course free. All proceeds made on the day –, will go to the Charity Police Care UK. So please come and show your support for this great cause and lets raise awareness and money for this incredible Charity.
