- Stapleford Community Garden at the Community Pavilion
Stapleford Community Garden at the Community Pavilion
A 1000sqm space - similar to the size of a swimming pool – has been earmarked for the project, in the grounds of the Stapleford Community Pavilion on Hickings Lane.
We want the garden to become a welcoming place where people can grow food, learn new skills, support nature, meet others, and feel part of something shared. But we need your help - We’re inviting local residents, groups, schools and organisations to help shape the vision, steer the project, and bring it to life. Built with the community
This garden will be built alongside local people. We’re already connecting with groups based at the Pavilion and, with support from the council and community partners, we’re reaching further across Stapleford.
Other nearby community gardens— like Bulwell Forest Garden, Cotgrave Community Garden, and Electric Daisy in Derby — show how these spaces bring people together, support mental and physical wellbeing, build confidence, reduce loneliness, and strengthen care for the local environment.
Stapleford’s garden aims to do the same.
Get involved
Whether you want to grow vegetables, support wildlife, run activities, meet people, or simply enjoy the space, we’d love to hear from you.
