Remembrance Events
Remembrance Parade
Every year, the Council organises a Remembrance Parade in Beeston from The Royal British Legion on Hall Croft to the war memorial on Middle Street, to remember those that gave their lives for our freedom in both world wars, and all conflicts since.
This year's parade will take place on Sunday 8 November from 10.30am with a parade and a short service at the war memorial off Middle Street, including the two minutes silence at 11.00am, followed by a church service at Beeston Parish Church. Those wishing to join the event to pay their respects should gather along Middle Street.
Road Closures
To ensure everyone’s safety, road closures will be in place between 10:00am and 12:00pm. Please plan ahead and follow diversion signs where indicated.
Other Remembrance events take place across the Borough organised by the local Town and Parish Councils.
Eastwood
9:30am - Service at St. Mary’s Church Eastwood.
10:40am - The Parade will march to the War Memorial at Plumptre Way.
11:00am - Two Minutes Silence followed by the Bugler playing ‘The Last Post’ and ‘Reveille’ when poppy wreaths will be laid.
11:15am - Completion of March to Cadets Cross at Edwards Road with blessing, then dismissal.
After the Parade, a Civic Reception will be held at the Eastwood Town Council Chamber, 120 Nottingham Road, Eastwood NG16 3NP where refreshments will be served to attendees. As always, a warm welcome is extended to all.
Kimberley 
10:00am - Church Service Starts at Holy Trinity Church.
10:00am-10.30am - Music will be playing at the War Memorial.
10:30am - Church Service concludes and Parade begins to muster.
10:35am - Parade begins, consisting of the Brownies, Guides, Scouts, ex and current service people, local community groups, and dignitaries.
10:45am - Parade arrives at the War Memorial.
10:55am - Rev Barbara begins the Act of Remembrance/Wreathes laid.
11:00am - Minutes Silence.
Stapleford
10:30am - The 1036 Air Cadets and uniformed groups parade begins.
10:40am - Parade arrives at Walter Parker Square and service begins, led by Rev Paul Savage.
11:20am - Parade departs, following bagpiper to the Carnegie Centre for refreshments.
Nuthall
10:40am - Parade leaves the Nuthall Temple Community Centre.
10:55am - Parade arrives in Basil Russell Park, and the remembrance service begins conducted by Rev Jason McMahon-Riley.
