Housing Scrutiny
The Housing Scrutiny Group aims to review an area of the Housing service and make recommendations for service improvements twice a year. The projects can vary in number of meetings required based on the scope of chosen area.
Recently, the group published their Voids Service Scrutiny report following a review of the Repairs element of the Council's 'Voids' (empty homes ready to be relet to new tenants) process. The report and updated 'Lettable Standards' (policy governing the minimum standard our properties must achieve to be let out) were circulated to the Housing Improvement Board and Cabinet and are available to view on the supporting documents section of this page.
The Scrutiny Group will also meet with relevant managers 6 months after the report has been agreed to review how the recommendations have been implemented, review performance and analyse the new tracked system.
If you are interested in being part of a future Scrutiny project, check the table below for dates of meetings. For any other information email housingengagement@broxtowe.gov.uk or call 0115 917 3935.
