Broxtowe Borough Council continue to increase housing stock with forty-six additional properties
The Council have acquired eighteen flats and eighteen lock-up garages at Retlaw Court, Chilwell, including two ground floor fully accessible properties, with a further two equipped with level access showers - consisting of:
- 6 x 1-bed flats
- 12 x 2-bed flats
The final eight properties from the Field Farm development in Stapleford are also expected to be handed over at the end of July, including:
- 6 x 2-bed houses
- 2 x 3-bed houses
The Inham Nook Development site in Chilwell will provide fifteen new properties for social rent thanks to a £945,000 grant from Homes England, including:
- 5 x 2-beds houses
- 7 x 3-bed houses
- 3 x 1-bed flats
At the Farm Cottage site in Bramcote, a further five affordable homes are due to be completed imminently, providing five affordable homes for social rents thanks to a £375,000 Homes England Grant including:
- 1 x 3-bed wheelchair accessible house
- 2 x 3-bed houses
- 2 x 1-bed flats
Portfolio holder for Housing, Councillor Vanessa Smith, said, “I’m delighted to be able to have these new additions to our housing stock now ready to be lived in. I’m really proud of the standard of new homes that we’ve been able to deliver to those that need them most, including the addition of multiple accessible properties.”
