Beeston Bee Trail Takes Flight!
Launching on Saturday 1 November, the trail invites families, nature lovers, and curious explorers to follow a series of bee-themed markers across Beeston town centre. Each stop offers a glimpse into the vital role bees play in our ecosystem, with creative touches and surprises along the way.

Trail maps will be available to pick up from the trail’s hive, based in The Plane Tree – a welcoming community space and local favourite that will serve as the starting point for trail-goers., as well as Beeston Library and the Broxtowe Borough Council Offices.
Six Beeston businesses are taking part, helping to bring the trail to life, each identifiable by a Bee Trail sign with fun facts about the crucial role bees play in our environment. Creative displays will also be on show in shop windows and even some bee-themed treats along the way.
Explorers will be able to collect stamps from inside participating shops, and upon collection of all six will win a prize, available at The Plane Tree.
The first 100 participants to complete the trail will receive exclusive, limited edition, bee-themed coasters, designed by a local artist and produced by Lee at Coasteroo, Kimberley, celebrating local craftsmanship and creativity.

“The Bee Trail at last takes flight in the heart of Beeston! This inspirational initiative is a great opportunity for local traders to promote our town and their businesses.” Says Mervyn Brown, Project Lead from Beeston Civic Society.
“Getting involved will entice interest, increase footfall, and encourage customer retention – adding memento the motto ‘Theres always a buzz in Beeston’”
Portfolio Holder for Economic Development and Asset Management, Councillor Milan Radulovic MBE, said, “This is a great initiative to bring increased footfall to Beeston’s High Street, while educating local residents about how crucial bees are to the environment around us.
“I hope many residents near and far will come out to try this trail and explore some of the fantastic businesses Beeston has to offer.”
