Countdown to Christmas: Broxtowe set to dazzle with Light Switch On events
Towns across the Borough will be filled with Christmas markets, street entertainment, fairground rides, food vendors, live music, and of course, Santa Claus is coming to Town with gifts for all! Stick around to the end to watch the spectacular firework finales. Dates across Broxtowe are as follows:
- Beeston – Saturday 15 November 12:00pm – 7:00pm, Beeston Square (NG9 2JG)
o 12:00pm – 7:00pm – Christmas Market & Festive Fairground
o 1:00pm – 5:00pm – Santa’s Grotto at Beeston Library; 1:00pm – 2:00pm pre-booked accessible session; 2:00pm – 5:00pm general admission
o 4:30pm – 7:00pm – Live Entertainment
o 5:30pm – Lights Switch On
o 6:30pm – Fireworks!
- Eastwood – Saturday 22 November 3:30pm – 7:00pm - new for 2025 the event will be at the weekend to allow more time for festivities!

Kimberley’s Christmas Light Switch On, organised by Kimberley Town Council, will take place on Friday 21 November, 4:30pm – 9:00pm on Toll Bar Square and Victoria Street Car Park (NG16 2NJ). Keep an eye on Kimberley Town Council’s Facebook page (Opens in a new window) for more details.
“Our Christmas Light Switch Ons are always so popular within our communities”, said Portfolio Holder for Health and Leisure, Councillor Teresa Cullen. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together, celebrate the season, and share in the joy and magic that makes Broxtowe such a special place.”
Road closures will be in place for our events, we encourage residents to walk, cycle or use public transport where possible to get to this event.
Broxtowe’s Christmas Light Switch Ons are coordinated by Broxtowe Borough Council, with support from Eastwood, Stapleford, and Kimberley Town Council’s.
