2026 Garden Competition
To celebrate the tenants, leaseholders and shared owners bringing a bit of life and colour to the community in 2026, Housing are holding another Garden Competition.
The competition is sponsored by Matthews and Tannert (Opens in a New Window)
All current Broxtowe Borough Council tenants, leaseholders and shared owners can enter. If you don't have an allocated garden, you can enter the pots (including houseplants) or hanging baskets category.

- Pots/Hanging Baskets
Prizes
Winner and runner up for each category can choose between National Garden Gift Vouchers (redeemable in many garden centres throughout the UK) or Afternoon Tea at Trowell Garden Centre (Opens in a New Window).
Winner: £50 Voucher or Afternoon Tea for 2
Runner up: £25 Voucher or Afternoon Tea for 1
Additionally, one 1st place winner can opt instead for a private visit to one of the gardens from the Beeston and Chilwell Garden trail plus tea and cakes!
Judging

Judging will take place between 22 June - 3 July.
You can indicate your preference or availability on the application and will be informed of the exact date closer to the time.
The judging criteria focussed on colour, variety, creativity and effort. The size of the growing space is not be factored into judging.

Or call 0115 917 3935 and request for a form to be posted out to your address and return it to 'Housing Engagement Team, Broxtowe Borough Council Offices, Foster Avenue, Beeston, NG9 1AB'.
Applications close 31 May 2026.
The council may use photographs of garden competition entries in future publicity and publications on the website and in the newsletter.
