Environmental Enforcement Agency WISE give festive boost to food bank

23/12/25 - Environment Enforcement Agency WISE have donated 200 essential items to local food bank, Broxtowe Community Projects in time for Christmas.

Earlier this year Broxtowe Borough Council partnered with environmental enforcement agency WISE to help tackle reports of fly-tipping and littering in the Borough following feedback from residents, highlighting concerns with street cleanliness and fly-tipping.Broxtowe Mayor with representatives from WISE and Broxtowe Community Projects

As part of the partnership, WISE are delivering social value benefits to the Broxtowe community by supporting projects across the Borough. This includes contributions to local charities and environmental initiatives.

The food donation of 200 essential items will support Broxtowe Community Projects mission to support families across the Borough of Broxtowe by providing them with access to balanced, nutritious food parcels and other support, while fighting food waste.

Portfolio Holder for Environment and Climate Change, Councillor Helen Skinner said, ‘I’m delighted that WISE have been able to support Broxtowe Community Projects with this donation just in time for Christmas. Their work is a lifeline for many in our Borough. 

This donation is a fantastic example of how working in partnership can deliver real social value for the people of Broxtowe. By collaborating with organisations like WISE, we’re able to support local charities and environmental projects, making a genuine difference in our communities.'
