The Council provide a range of facilities at parks and recreation grounds throughout the Borough.

Multi Use Games Areas (MUGAS)

There are various MUGA's within the Borough. The list shows the location of all these

There are 6 skate parks throughout the borough. The list shows information relating to the Skate Park facilities available.

Coronation Park, Eastwood

  • Free Outdoor Facility

  • Equipment - Large Modern concrete skate bowl installed in 2016. 

  • Additional Services - Car Park, Teen Shelter, Adjacent Multi User Ball Court.

  • Usage - Very popular site.

  • Supervision - No

Hall Om Wong Open Space, Kimberley

  • Free Outdoor Facility

  • Equipment - 2 concrete ramps and funbox with grind rails. Concrete surface

  • Additional Services - Play Areas, Multi User Games Area

  • Usage - Very Popular Site

  • Supervision - No

Inham Nook Recreation Ground, Chilwell

  • Free Outdoor Facility

Basil Russell Playing Fields, Nuthall

  • Free Outdoor Facility

  • Equipment - Small number of wooden ramps, tarmac surface. Enclosed by fencing

  • Additional Services - Car Park, Adjacent Play Area, Toilets

Cricket Pitches

Cricket can be enjoyed weekday evenings and weekends in the Borough from May until the beginning of September.

Cricket pitches are located at:

  • Beeston - Beeston Fields Recreation Ground, Central Avenue

  • Beeston - Hetley Pearson Recreation Ground, Queens Road

  • Bramcote - Bramcote Hills Park, Ilkeston Road

  • Eastwood - The Breach, Greenhills Road

  • Stapleford - Hickings Lane Recreation Ground, Hickings Lane

  • Toton - Manor Farm Recreation Ground, High Road

Booking

Only available to recognised cricket clubs who have completed an application form and been allocated a cricket pitch. Some sites are used exclusively by individual clubs.

 


Tennis Courts

At Queen Elizabeth Park, Stapleford, tennis can be enjoyed during the months of May to September, seven days a week. Courts are available weekdays 12 noon until 7.00pm and weekends 10.30am till 7.00pm, daylight permitting. At King George's Park, Bramcote, Inham Nook Recreation Ground, Chilwell and Manor Farm Recreation Ground,Toton  the courts are available all year round from dawn until dusk.

Tennis courts are located at:

  • Bramcote - King Georges Park, Town Street

    2 x hard courts - play at this site is free. Available all year round.

  • Chilwell - Inham Nook Recreation Ground, Pearson Avenue

    2 x hard courts - play at this site is free. Available all year round.

  • Toton - Manor Farm Recreation Ground, High Road

    3 x hard courts -  Play at this site is free. Available all year round.

  • Stapleford - Queen Elizabeth Park, Toton Lane

    4 x hard courts & 3 x grass courts - pay to play (see charges below) Available May - September.

Booking

There is no booking system for casual use of the tennis courts you can just turn up and play on a first come first served basis (subject to court availability).
The attendant at the site will accept the fee (where applicable) and issue a ticket for use.

Please note that at Queen Elizabeth Park the resident tennis clubs are able to make bookings and on occasion the courts may not be available for this reason.

Courts may also be closed for maintenance work at certain times.


Football Pitches

The booking periods are predominantly Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings with weekday evening games in August/September and April/May.
