The Effect of Art on Happinesssketch of seated woman

5 March till 18 April

'It's not art for art's sake, it's art for my sake'.
D.H. Lawrence

An exploration through art and words, of perceptions of self-image and how we see others, focusing on aging, disability and difference. Measuring the benefits of life-drawing activity on the artist, the model and the viewer, through non-invasive monitoring of markers of stress and emotions. This exhibition consists of paintings, sketches and words created through community art workshops in Broxtowe and Nottinghamshire.

This is a Broxtowe Community Arts initiative, supported by the University of Nottingham and Parkinson’s UK Mansfield Support Group.
