Broxtowe Local Plan

The new Broxtowe Local Plan will replace the existing Part 1 and Part 2 Local Plans. It will guide how Broxtowe grows and develops over the coming years, setting out the Council’s vision and priorities for future development, including the location of new homes, employment, infrastructure and services. It will also establish how high-quality, well-designed places will be created, while protecting and enhancing Broxtowe's natural environment, biodiversity and green infrastructure.

Notice of Intention to Commence Plan Preparation

On 30 June 2026, the Council will publish a Notice of Intention to Commence Local Plan Preparation in accordance with the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2026.

• Name of the planning authority preparing the plan: Broxtowe Borough Council
• Title of the plan, to be used consistently throughout plan‑making: Broxtowe Local Plan
• Geographical area covered, including:
• A written description of the area: The administrative area of Broxtowe Borough Council
