Green Festival celebrates its 5th year at Coronation Park, Eastwood
Taking place on Saturday 19 September 2026, the event will welcome local traders, charities, community groups and organisations offering interactive activities, demonstrations and expert advice, alongside a selection of food vendors serving vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.
Whether you're looking for simple ideas to help the environment, opportunities to support local causes, or an enjoyable family day out, the Green Festival offers plenty to discover. Visitors can meet local organisations, take part in hands-on activities and learn about projects making a positive difference across the Borough.
We’ll have a wide variety of stalls and free activities from 12:00pm – 3:00pm including:
- Preloved Clothes, shoes, books and toys stall
- Mary Broddle’s Embroidery Sewing Repair Sessions
- Free Face Painting by Eileen C
- Pedal-powered paint spinning bike
- Free fun sustainable family activities
- A variety of food vendors serving hot & cold food, tasty treats and drinks
- Energy Saving and Wildlife advice
- Back for 2026 – Dog Show
- Meet our Waste and Recycling Team and sit in one of our trucks
- Second hand bike sales, minor servicing & repairs advice
- Observation Hive, activities and information about bees and beekeeping
- Information and activities on Birds and make a Dragonfly
- Community stalls and organisations
- And much more!
Portfolio Holder for Environment and Climate Change, Councillor Tyler Marsh, said, “Our Green Festival continues to grow year on year, and it’s fantastic to see so many people coming along to connect with local organisations, discover new ideas and learn practical ways to make a difference.
“Whether it’s reducing waste, saving energy, supporting nature or making more sustainable choices at home, even small actions can have a real impact. The festival is a great opportunity to pick up advice, get inspired and find out how we can all play a part in protecting our environment for future generations.”
Residents are encouraged to walk, cycle or use public transport to get to this event. The rainbow one bus service and the 34 bus service, run by Trent Barton, travel directly past Coronation Park. However, if you do need to drive, limited event parking is available on site.
