Eleven hours of free live music coming to Eastwood for D.H. Lawrence Music Festival

Now in its 11^th year, the D.H. Lawrence Music Festival has become a staple in the calendar for many residents across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, attracting thousands of visitors to Eastwood’s high street for a celebration of local culture, artists and venues. 

This year’s festival begins at the D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum stage again in the museum garden, sponsored by The Old Nottinghamians’ Society, with a fantastic line up of talented artists spanning an eclectic mix of genres – the perfect prelude to a day jam packed with free live music across Eastwood’s best pubs and venues. 

Complete line up and set times at the D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum:

• 12:00pm – 12:30pm – Moran – new singer-songwriter duo featuring delicate acoustic instrumentation and angelic harmonies.
• 1:00pm – 1:30pm – GaYeon Lee – hailing from Seoul, South Korea, GaYeon brings something a little different to close the stage with her K-Indie music.
• 2:00pm – 2:30pm – Lace Thief – solo artists who explores connections between her youth and her future through honest vocals, powerful songwriting and deep synths in an indie/folk style.
• 3:00pm – 3:30pm – Gallery 47 – Nottingham music scene legend playing a mix of blues and rock.

Portfolio Holder for Health and Leisure, Councillor Teresa Cullen, said, “The D.H. Lawrence Music Festival is such a fantastic celebration of local culture, local artists, and local venues, and I know many residents look forward to the day each year.

“Not only does the festival give a great platform to local artists, it attracts visitors from far and wide to Eastwood’s high street, providing an enormous boost to Eastwood’s pubs, bars and shops.

“Ben does a fantastic job organising the festival each year, which has such a positive impact on so many in the community and beyond and I’m delighted that we’re able to support the event each year.”
