Free Proms in the Park coming to Beeston this summer

13/07/2026 - Three hours of free live music from vintage singer Jayne Darling and Nottingham Concert Band are on offer at a Beeston park this August.

The day offers the perfect way to relax and unwind with friends and family in the fresh air with the afternoon soundtracked by some Nottinghamshire favourites – perfect for a picnic too!

There will also be an ice cream van on site for a summer snack.

Programme includes

  • 2:00pm – Jayne Darling – a charming selection of vintage classics to set the tone for the afternoon.
  • 3:00pm – Nottingham Concert Band – much-loved community wind band playing some feel-good favourites.

Our Proms event will also be making an appearance in the north of Broxtowe later this year, as we bring Christmas Proms to Awsworth on Sunday 13 December.

Portfolio Holder for Health and Leisure, Councillor Teresa Cullen, said, “Music can be such a powerful tool in boosting people’s moods, encouraging them to sing and dance while enjoying the company of friends and family, and that’s why I feel it’s so important to have free events like this for our residents.

“This is a great chance to get outside this summer with loved ones and soak up what I’m sure will be a lovely atmosphere with music from some truly very talented local artists. I for one can’t wait!”

There will be limited public and blue badge parking available on site, we encourage residents to walk, cycle, or use public transport to come to this event.
