Mayor of Broxtowe launches Broxtowe Banger
01/09/2026 – Mayor of Broxtowe, Councillor Barbara Carr, announces charity sausage, the Broxtowe Banger.
In partnership with Meat 4 u in Beeston and Barlows Butchers in Newthorpe, Mayor of Broxtowe, Councillor Barbara Carr, today launches the Broxtowe Banger sausage.
Sales of this special sausage will help the Mayor’s chosen charities, Broxtowe Youth Homelessness and Age UK Notts, with both butchers agreeing to make a donation at the end of Councillor Carr’s term as Mayor based on the number of sausages sold.
Councillor Barbara Carr said:
“I’m so pleased to be launching this tasty way for residents to contribute to these two charities, as well as having something to enjoy for their dinner too. I've tried both of the sausage varieties and they are both delicious.”
The sausages are available to purchase at Meat 4 u and Barlows Butchers from today.
