Statement on Local Government Reorganisation
08/09/2026 – A statement on Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) has been issued following the Government’s decision to pause the LGR programme pending review.
The Government yesterday announced it was pausing Local Government Restructure (LGR) in a number of regions across the country, including Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Councils in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire have issued a joint statement on this decision.
