On this introduction to sourdough bread making, you will learn how to make a country-style sourdough, covering the key steps to make an excellent sourdough bread. From building and looking after your sourdough starter, to a deeper understanding of flour, fermentation, mixing, shaping and all the steps needed to make a great loaf. Steve will give you the knowledge and hands-on experience to make great bread regardless of your home set up. Plus it’s perfect for beginners. The day runs from 9:30am to 4pm, with refreshments and lunch provided, plus a guided tour of Pippley’s gardens with our head gardener.

- A range of breads baked during the day, plus a loaf to bake at home to practice your new-found skills.
- Tools to help you on your journey, including a banneton, dough scraper and sourdough starter.
